A nurse called in to assist Chad Abrams told police he scratched her on the left forearm, then spit on her after she tried to help him get back in bed.

According to the nurse, Abrams was locked in restraints for violent behavior, but managed to face downward on his bed when she entered the room. When she tried to help him sit up, he attacked her.

Campus police were called to assist Abrams back into bed, the report says.

The person assigned to watch Abrams the evening prior to the incident stated he managed to get out of the bed and almost tip it over.

According to the report, when police questioned Abrams, he became increasingly violent, pulling on his restraints and cussing  them out for not releasing him.
