Man escapes Warren Co. halfway house

Authorities in Warren County are on the lookout for a man who ran from a work detail at the Turtlecreek Center, 5232 Ohio 63.

The man left without permission from the halfway house that shelters and provides services for convicts who are reentering society.

The initial report around 12:30 p.m. indicated the man was pulling weeds in front of the facility on Ohio 63 and got into a silver vehicle, according to the Warren County Emergency Dispatch Center.

The vehicle was last seen heading toward Lebanon.

The man, described as white and standing 6-foot-1, with brown hair and a goatee, was wearing a white shirt and black pants.

The Turtlecreek Center houses adult male offenders from several counties in Southwest Ohio and the Miami Valley.
