He reportedly showed a gun during the robbery and fled with an undetermined amount of money, according to West Carrollton police.
Police were dispatched to the branch, 9 E. Central Ave., at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, said West Carrollton Sgt. David Wessling.
Wessling said witnesses were able to describe the getaway car and that helped police locate it on Walnut Street, in the city, at about 7 p.m.
Fields was located at about 11:30 p.m. and arrested, West Carrollton police said.
No one was injured in the robbery.
