The teen, Kamela Himes, had been tubing down the Mad River with her family July 20, 2019. She was deflating her inner tube when she took a step out onto the road in the 3000 block of Lower Valley Pike in Springfield Twp.

She was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe that went left of center, which the OSHP said Wade was driving.
