Marshals capture man in Cincinnati wanted for Philadelphia double homicide

A man wanted for a double homicide in Philadelphia was arrested Monday in Cincinnati.

The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team arrested Richard Roane on a murder warrant from the Philadelphia Police Department.

Roane is accused of fatally shooting a man and woman July 8, 2018, according to a news release.

Marshals in Philadelphia received a tip that Roane was in Cincinnati, where SOFAST took him into custody in a residence in the 1500 block of Dudley Walk.

Roane is at the Hamilton County Justice Center awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.

U.S. Marshals are the nation's primary fugitive hunting organization and capture more federal fugitives each year than all other law enforcement agencies combined.
