UPDATE: Police release photo of 2 masked, armed women in Subway holdup

UPDATE @ 10:23 p.m. (Dec. 16): Police on Monday released a photo of two women suspected of robbing a Subway sandwich shop in Miami Twp. on Sunday night.

The photo, taken from surveillance video, shows the suspects dressed in dark colors. Their faces are hidden behind what appear to be masks or scarves.

There has been no update from police about the investigation, which initially led detectives and a Kettering police K-9 unit to an apartment complex in Miami Twp. late Sunday night.

UPDATE @ 9:45 p.m. (Dec. 15)

A K-9 team from the Kettering Police Department was able to follow a track of the Subway robbers to a Miami Twp. apartment complex.

The track led to the Hunters Chase Apartments on Fox Hound Road in Miami Twp., police said.

Miami Twp. detectives are on scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

No suspects have been identified or arrested at this time.

FIRST REPORT (Dec. 15)

Two masked women robbed a Subway restaurant Sunday night in Miami Twp.

The robbery was reported at 7:40 p.m. at the eatery, 9656 N. Springboro Pike.

The women were wearing all black, including black face masks. They arrived on foot and “came in with guns,” according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center. One had a backpack.

They took a few hundred dollars before leaving.
