McDonald's worker robbed making bank deposit in Oakwood

OAKWOOD — A McDonald’s employee was robbed on Sunday, June 20, as she was making a night deposit at the Chase Bank on Far Hills Avenue, police said.

At 5:35 p.m., a black male in his mid-20s, described as 6 foot, 4 inches and 350 pounds, snuck up behind a female McDonald’s employee from the Moraine location as she was placing a money bag in the bank’s drop box, shoved her against the wall and grabbed the bag, said Oakwood police Lt. Keith Benson.

The suspect, who was dressed in all black and covered his face, escaped on foot and headed eastbound on Far Hills Avenue, Benson said.

The employee was not injured in the incident.

“We don’t know right now if it was random or if she was followed,” Benson said.
