Mechanicsburg police want the public to come forward with any information on two unsolved sexual assaults.

The first rape happened in the village in October when a man broke into a woman’s home and the second occurred Monday when someone grabbed another woman while she was getting something out of her car. The assaults may be connected, Mechanicsburg Police Chief John Alexander said.

The victims weren't able to see the face of the suspect in both assaults, he said, but it’s believed the suspect is about a 6-foot-tall white male with brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the assaults should contact law enforcement at 937-834 3303.

Police are recommending people lock their doors and travel in pairs at night.
