“There’s no excuse,” a crying Grubb told Common Pleas Judge Jeannine Pratt. “I am not this sick person … Words can’t express how sorry I am.”
Assistant Prosecutor Paul Watkins said Grubb “said it best when he said there’s no excuse.”

Pratt reviewed Grubb’s criminal record that included convictions in the 1980s and 1990s for driving while under the influence, theft and domestic violence. She sentenced Grubb to two, two-year sentences and one three- year term and said they would be served consecutively in order to protect the public and punish him.
He was given credit for 196 days served in jail and classified a Tier II sex offender. That will require him to register his address in the county where he lives for 25 years following prison release. Grubb also was ordered to pay court costs.
