When crews arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to the Monroe Police Department. The name, age and hometown of the man who was fatally shot has not been released, but police confirmed he was an adult.
No arrests have been made and the incident is under investigation by Monroe police and the Warren County Coroner’s Office.
