New Lebanon man indicted on drug charges, illegal practice of medicine

A New Lebanon man accused of unlawfully practicing medicine also faces numerous drug-related charges.

Darryll W. Black, 49, was indicted Wednesday for 15 counts of practice of medicine without a certificate and 15 counts of deception to obtain a dangerous drug, namely nerve pain medications pregabalin and gapapentin, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

The incidents were alleged to have happened between April 23, 2016, and Dec. 9, 2016.

Also indicted was 36-year-old Sarah Barber, of the same New Lebanon address.

She is charged with 15 counts of deception to obtain a dangerous drug, also involving the same two medications, for incidents between July 9, 2016, and Dec. 30, 2016, according to the grand jury report.

Neither are in custody and are due for arraignment July 9 in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
