911 caller: Masked man robs North Main Street Food Mart at gunpoint in Dayton

UPDATE @ 8:15 p.m.:

A masked man pointed a gun at an employee Wednesday night and demanded money from the cash register, the worker said in a 911 call reporting the robbery at the North Main Street Food Mart in Dayton.

“A guy just robbed us, came in with a pistol and took all the money,” the cashier said in the 911 call made around 7:40 p.m.

The caller said the suspect didn’t fire any shots, but put the money in a brown bag before leaving the store at 1413 N. Main St.

The employee said the suspect had a handgun with an extended clip at the bottom. She described him as “pretty young,” possibly in his 20s and was wearing a jacket with a lot of patches on it.

INITIAL REPORT:

A gunman robbed on Wednesday night robbed the North Main Street Food Mart.

Police were called around 7:40 p.m. to the store at 1413 N. Main St. after a suspect described as a man in his 20s robbed the store at gunpoint.

The suspect was described as standing 5 feet, 7 inches and was wearing a black mask and jacket with patches on it.
