November Dayton standoff suspect indicted

UPDATE @ 11:08 a.m. (Jan. 13, 2016):

Kyle Glascoe was indicted today by a grand jury on multiple charges stemming from a standoff in the 2100 block of East Third Street in November.

Glascoe face charges of having weapons under disability, aggravated menacing, inducing panic and abduction, according to records.

The 25-year-old is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 19.

UPDATE @ 1 p.m. (Nov. 8, 2015)

Kyle Glascoe, 25, is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence and having weapons under disability.

According to the Dayton police report, the suspect pulled a gun on his mother because he thought she was hiding people in the house.

The mother told police her son had been smoking methamphetamine for three days and he was diagnosed as having a bipolar personality disorder, according to the report.

Police said Glascoe has a prior conviction from 2013 for domestic violence. He is scheduled to appear Monday in Dayton Municipal Court for an arraignment.

UPDATE @ 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7

Police said 25-year-old Kyle Glascoe was found stuck in a wall in an attic, where he was trying to hide from SWAT officers during a standoff.

Police were called before noon by Glasoe’s mother, who told police her son had pointed a gun at her.

Glascoe is in custody, facing multiple felony charges.

UPDATE @ 6:30 p.m.

SWAT officers just brought a supsect out of a house and led him into the back of a Dayton police cruiser.

The man was involved in a standoff for more than seven hours today after he refused to come out of a house in the 2100 block of East Third Street.

The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center was called for a couple dogs that were inside the home.

UPDATE @ 6:20 p.m.

A SWAT team remains on scene in front of a house with painted turqoise trim in the 2100 block of East Third Street.

A man inside reportedly refuses to come out. Police have been on scene since late this morning.

Police initially were called to a domestic disturbance in which a man was threatening his mother with a gun. He is now alone in the house, according to police.

Traffic has been blocked on East Third Street between Bell and South Van Lear streets for about seven hours.

UPDATE @ 1 p.m.

Traffic continues to be blocked by police activity in the 2100 block of East Third Street.

Officers who appear to be SWAT have been observed at the scene.

Police were using a bull horn to communicate with an individual inside a home.

There have been no reports of anyone being injured.

Police in Dayton are blocking traffic as part of the response to a reported domestic situation in the 2100 block of East Third Street.

Officers responded to the report of a male threatening his mother with a gun, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

Traffic is blocked on East Third between Bell and South Van Lear streets.
