FIRST REPORT

Two people have been wounded in two reported shootings in Dayton and police looking for at least one suspect.

Just before midnight, Dayton police were dispatched to the area of Lakeview and Dearborn avenues on a report that a male had been shot. He reportedly left the scene and was driving west on Lakeview Avenue in a small car that had bullet holes in it and flattened tires on the driver’s side.

Just after midnight, more officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Kilmer Street on a report that a female had been shot in her foot.

Minutes after that second dispatch, an officer reported that he had stopped a person at Dearborn Avenue and McCall Street who was believed to be the male victim.

That location is several blocks to the north and west of where the initial shooting call was generated. A gun is believed to have been discovered in the male’s car.
