A 28-year-old Piqua woman was arrested and charged Monday in connection to a shooting last week that sent a man to a local hospital.
Brittney N. Johnson is facing felonious assault and a weapons charge after police and medics responded around 10:20 a.m. Thursday to a house in the 600 block of South Wayne Street to a man shot in the arm during a disturbance.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Laron Coleman, who suffered a gunshot wound to his left biceps. Officers also noticed a silver Honda parked in front of the residence had a bullet hole in the front windshield, according to a release from the Piqua Police Department.
Officers have responded to the residence for domestic-violence related complaints involving Johnson and Coleman in the past, according to the release.
Johnson was booked into the Miami County Jail, the release stated.
