Police blotter

ENGLEWOOD (April 2) – Police called to an area of Brentwood Drive on a complaint of a woman yelling around 12:30 a.m. found an intoxicated female in a yard attempting to strike a male. The woman ignored police requests to stop and went into the house, where she continued to be disruptive. Police were told the woman was upset because of a break up with a boyfriend. She later was arrested in the house and taken to jail on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

ENGLEWOOD (MARCH 27) – Police were called to assist after a man was found unconscious on the second-floor balcony of the Red Carpet Inn. Medics administered Narcan to the male while police tried to gain entry to the room itself but were unable because the door lock had been tampered with by someone. They eventually could get inside and found no one else was there. The man’s ID was located

VANDALIA (MARCH 28) – A young man who fled from a vehicle on Kenbrook Drive where he was seen sleeping was identified from his wallet left behind on the front seat. The juvenile male, found nearby highly intoxicated, said he got into a fight with his girlfriend then drank alcohol found at his father’s residence. The teen was charged with disorderly conduct and being unruly and released to his father.

PIQUA (APRIL 8) – A man called police reporting his adult son was unresponsive. He called back a short time later, saying the son woke up and a squad no longer was needed. The squad continued anyway and talked with the son, who said he was simply sleeping and his father overreacted.

PIQUA (APRIL 8) – A citizen found a marriage license near a downtown pub and turned it over to the police. The license “was returned to the happy couple,” the police officer reported.
