VANDALIA (MARCH 28) – A young man who fled from a vehicle on Kenbrook Drive where he was seen sleeping was identified from his wallet left behind on the front seat. The juvenile male, found nearby highly intoxicated, said he got into a fight with his girlfriend then drank alcohol found at his father’s residence. The teen was charged with disorderly conduct and being unruly and released to his father.
PIQUA (APRIL 8) – A man called police reporting his adult son was unresponsive. He called back a short time later, saying the son woke up and a squad no longer was needed. The squad continued anyway and talked with the son, who said he was simply sleeping and his father overreacted.
PIQUA (APRIL 8) – A citizen found a marriage license near a downtown pub and turned it over to the police. The license “was returned to the happy couple,” the police officer reported.
