Police find drugs during traffic stop

Dayton police found drug paraphernalia and heroin during a traffic stop yesterday morning.

Police stopped Dustin Trotter, 35, and Alysha Augustus,35, for failing to signal 100 feet before a lane change on Edwin C. Moses Blvd.

Trotter was removed from his vehicle for having a suspended driver's license.

While searching the vehicle, police said they found seven empty gel capsules and three heroin capsules. A crack pipe was also found inside the car, according to a police report.

Both Trotter and Augustus were arrested for drugs possession and loitering to obtain illegal drugs.
