Shot fired during robbery at Cousin Vinny’s Pizza in Dayton

A customer ordering a pizza by phone Friday night called 911 after hearing a gunshot and someone demand money from Cousin Vinny’s.

Dayton police were called around 11:30 p.m. to Cousin Vinny’s Pizza, 2032 Wayne Ave. after two men, one in a black hoodie and the other in a blue hoodie, robbed the business, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

Police said the customer reported hearing a robber tell the worker to open the cash register drawer.

The two suspects came in through the back door before firing one shot, dispatch said. The pair then left heading toward Anderson Street.

Police requested a K-9 unit from the Huber Heights police division at 11:36 p.m.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Police are searching for a duo who robbed Cousin Vinny's Pizza in Dayton.

Crews were called around 11:30 p.m. to the restaurant, 2032 Wayne Ave. in Dayton.

According to initial reports, two males wearing black hooded sweatshirts robbed the business.

A K-9 team from the Huber Heights Police Division was called to help track the suspects.
