Police: 3 juveniles ran from stolen car in Dayton

Police in Dayton caught up with two of three juvenile males who ran from an abandoned, stolen vehicle on Hoover Avenue.

The two who were caught were 15-year-olds and the one who got away is a 17-year-old male, according to Dayton police.

The three ran from officers this morning on Hoover near Lorenz Avenue.

Police said an officer became suspicious after spotting the vehicle, which turned out to be a stolen ride.

The officer tailed the compact Ford sedan for a brief time then turned away and alerted other officers.

The suspects eventually stopped and left the car on Hoover and took off running, police said.

Investigators were questioning the two teens partly to determine who was driving.

We’re working to gather more details about the investigation.
