Adam Keith Cottrill, 26, was indicted for six felony drug possession charges, including one for a fentanyl-related compound; he is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Cottrill was indicted Oct. 30 for three counts of felonious assault on a police officer, each with three-year and seven-year firearm specifications; and single felony counts of vandalism and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.

He is pleading not guilty to those charges, court records show.

Riverside police were called Sept. 29 to a report of a suspicious person with a gun near the Kroger on Spinning Road, Riverside police Chief Frank Robinson said following Cottrill’s arrest.

The suspect, later identified as Cottrill, fired at officers who fired back, the chief said. The pursuit ended after Cottrill crashed into a tree near Burkhardt and South Garland avenues in Dayton before he ran into the woods.

Cottrill was captured later and booked into the Montgomery County Jail, where he remains behind bars.
