A Cleveland man and woman were shot and killed Thursday morning in Middletown.

Dashaua Brown, 29, and Aaron Paige, 31, were found dead in a car in the 100 block of Euclid Road at about 6:20 a.m., according to Middletown police. Both were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

The white 2016 Hyundai in which they were found was stopped about 12:48 a.m. by Middletown police at the intersection of Grand and Marshall and Brown, and the driver was issued a warning for lack of headlights.

A resident called 911 about 6:20 a.m reporting a “four-door sedan” was wedged between two parked cars on Euclid.

“We woke up this morning and there is another car facing the opposite direction on the wrong side of the road between (neighbors) two cars with the headlights on. It has been there for about an hour and I am not sure if they hit a car or not … but it is really bizarre,” the caller told dispatchers.

Police arrived at the scene about 7:15 a.m. That’s when the deceased were found. The car rolled forward and hit at least one vehicle parked on the street, causing minor damage, according to witnesses.

Euclid was closed from Sherman to Grand Avenue for about six hours during the investigation.

The Butler County Coroner’s Office has scheduled autopsies for this morning.

“We are working this around the clock, we have all available resources on it,” said Middletown Police Chief David Birk.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Detective Ryan Morgan at 513-425-7700.
