Rock thrown through window of Springfield business, money stolen

Money was stolen from a Springfield insurance business early Saturday morning after a rock was thrown through a window.

The Springfield Police Division responded to American Heritage Insurance Group, 1305 W. First St., on a report of an alarm call at about 5:20 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report.

The door was broken and a rock was found under a chair. An area with cubicles also had cabinets open and paper tossed around the office, the report said. A cash register was also found to have its drawer open.
