A man who escaped from a work detail in Miamisburg as part of the Montgomery County STOP program is scheduled to be arraigned in court today.
William D. Sloan, 37, was indicted Friday for an escape charge, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.
Sloan is accused of walking away from an April 18 work detail in the area of Heincke Road in Miamisburg. Police found the orange jumpsuit he was wearing several hours later.
Dayton police arrested Sloan on April 25, and he has been in the Montgomery County Jail since his arrest.
The county’s Secure Transitional Offender Program is a locked-down facility that offers mental health, drug treatment, education and job training programs.
