Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed the Dollar General, 2228 N. Gettysburg Ave., on May 26.

Police released three surveillance images that were recorded during the armed robbery, which happened at 10:50 a.m., according to police.

The two robbers picked up items as if shopping for about 10 minutes before approaching an employee, showing her they both had guns and demanded money, according to police.

The robbers got away with cash and packages of men’s T-shirts.

The first robber is described as a black male in his early 20s, standing about 5-feet-10 and weighing 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a black hooded zip-up sweatshirt and blue shirt underneath.

Police said this robber “went back and forth between a red baseball cap and a tan baseball cap.”

The second robber is described as a black male, early 20s, with a similar build. He was last seen wearing a black half-zipped jacket and a green and brown camouflage fishing hat.

Dayton police are searching for whomever robbed the Dollar General on North Gettyburg Avenue this morning.

Officers responded to the store, 2228 North Gettysburg Ave., around 11 a.m. after reports of a robbery, according to dispatch records.

No suspect information or additional information about the robbery has been released.
