Crews were called at 4:55 p.m. to a crash in the 900 block of South River Street in Franklin. The SUV struck a Wayne Local Schools bus with 34 members of the girls varsity and junior varsity soccer teams aboard. No one was hurt, but the bus sustained minor damage to the driver’s side of the bus and tire.
The SUV fled the crash scene, but officers found it on state Route 73 West and Breiel Boulevard in Middletown. The driver did not stop and officers pursued it through Middletown and onto Interstate 75 North. The SUV continued into Dayton, where officers yielding to stop signs and stop lights lost sight of it
