Someone stole a 39-year-old West Chester Twp. man’s identity, opened a Verizon account and racked up more than $1,000 in charges.
An unidentified person opened the Verizon account between May 1 and Sept. 25 and incurred $1,167 worth of charges in the man’s name, according to police reports.
Township spokeswoman Barb Wilson said the case has been taken over by the Verizon fraud department.
