Unsteady walk leads to lots of charges

MIAMISBURG – It was 3:02 a.m. and a 31-year-old known to the officer for being in similar situations, was walking along North Ninth Street near Kercher in a way to attract an officer’s attention.

He said he was walking home from his dad’s, although he was uneasy on his feet and his speech was lethargic, as if he consumed large amounts of alcohol, which it smelled like he did.

He said he was okay, but when he was asked for his ID, which he took from his back pocket, the officer found it to be wet.

The man said he had passed out in his dad’s shed and urinated himself.

While he was cleaning his hands, the officer made sure the man was given a disorderly conduct/public intoxication citation, adding a summons for possession of drugs, which were found in his pocket.

He was then taken home, given to the care of his mother.
