Warren County woman accused of intentionally crashing into others

A Lebanon woman was in the Warren County Jail, facing charges stemming from a five-car crash Tuesday night on Columbus Avenue in Lebanon.

Mary Jo Klawitter, 63, is charged with felonious assault and scheduled for arraignment Thursday in Lebanon Municipal Court, according to jail records.

Klawitter is accused of intentionally crashing into four other vehicles on the road while in “mental distress,” Sgt. Tom Bloomberg said Wednesday.

Two other drivers were treated after the crash reported at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday on southbound Columbus Avenue, two-tenths of a mile south of Monroe Road, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
