A Waynesville police officer is facing multiple rape charges for incidents alleged to have occurred when he was in high school.

Peyton Kocevar, 22, of Centerville, is charged with seven counts of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition, the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office said in a release.

“These offenses occurred between the years of 2012 and 2016, at the time the defendant was in high school,” the prosecutor’s office said. “Since September of 2019, this defendant has served as a Waynesville police officer.”

The release says multiple victims have disclosed incidents where Kocevar allegedly forced himself upon them.

He was booked into the Montgomery County jail Thursday at 7:15 p.m., according to jail booking records.

Anyone who has information about other incidents is asked to call Centerville Police.
