Woman pleads not guilty in food stamp, Medicaid fraud

TROY — A West Milton woman accused of stealing around $60,000 in food stamp and Medicaid benefits combined pleaded not guilty Tuesday to felony illegal use of food stamps and Medicaid fraud in Miami County Common Pleas Court.

Theresa Harris, 57, is accused of making false and misleading statements to obtain reimbursement form the Medicaid program between June 21, 2008, and Aug. 1, 2016, and to buy, sell, alter, use, accept or transfer food stamp-related benefits during the same time period.
