Women allegedly stole $298 in clothing

Two women were arrested after they allegedly held up the Citi Trends store and stole several items.

Latoya Shawnta Jackson, 32, and Dorothy L. Ward, 33, are being held in the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery.

The incident happened Tuesday evening at the department store, 4245 W. Third St., according to the Dayton police report.

Police listed several items taken in the alleged heist, in all an estimated value of $298: Blue jeans, socks, leggings, shorts, black skirt, bras, shirts, women’s underwear, cargo shorts and shoes, according to the report.

The investigating officer did not provide any details on the report about what happened.
