Teen in stable condition after being shot in Richmond

UPDATE @ 2:20 a.m: A 17-year-old male is in stable condition at Miami Valley Hospital after being shot in Richmond Wednesday night, according to the Richmond Palladium Item.

The shooting occurred in the area of Lincoln and North West Second Streets just after 7 p.m.

The teen was taken to Reid Hospital and from there was flown by medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, according to Richmond police. The teen’s name was not released, but per initial reports he was struck in the abdomen.

Detectives were called to process the scene and collect evidence.

A suspect wearing a black hoodie and jeans was reported to have fled toward North West Fifth Street, according to the Palladium Item. No arrests have been made.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident or who may have saw anything in the area, is asked to call RPD at 765-983-7247.
