Do you recognize this pickup and stolen trailer?

Police need your help in locating a stolen trailer and they hope you recognize the pickup truck used in the theft.

The Dayton Police Department's East Patrol Operations Detectives Division released photos Wednesday they hope will lead to the arrest of the person or persons who committed the theft on Saturday (Sept. 6) just after 11:30 p.m.

The suspect or suspects drove into an empty lot across from 60 Heid Drive and within 10 minutes hooked up the trailer, which contained various tools, and drove off, Detective Danielle Cash said in a prepared statement released Wednesday afternoon.

Police know that the suspects are two white males, Cash said.

The truck is equipped with "running boards, "nice wheels, four-wheel drive and running lights on top of the cab," Cash said.

It appears to be a dark colored Chevrolet -- possibly green -- with a light stripe around the sides and tailgate.

One other note: The right rear brake light is out.

If you can identify the truck or know who is involved in the theft, please call Cash, Detectives Mire or Coberly at 937-333-7472 or Montgomery County Regional Dispatch at 937-225-4357.
