Dayton Airport Hotel Is Closing

Travelers flying in and out of the Dayton International Airport will need to find another hotel for most of next year.

The Dayton Airport Hotel is going to shut down by January 31, 2010 prior to the opening of a planned Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites.

An opening date has not been set for the new hotel, which will sit across the street from the current Dayton Airport Hotel.

In April of 2008, airport officials announced they would demolish the 150 room hotel to make way for more parking.

The City of Dayton owns the airport and the hotel.
