Dayton man dead after shooting on Whitmore Avenue

A 24-year-old man is dead after a shooting on Whitmore Avenue, the Montgomery County Coroner’s office reported.

The shooting took place in the 500 block about 6:10 p.m. Saturday.

Marlon Lewis of Dayton was shot by an unknown suspect, Montgomery County dispatchers said. No suspect information was available. Lewis was the only one reported shot.

Lewis reportedly died at Miami Valley Hospital.
