Detour coming for main route to Fairborn

Motorists who use Ohio 235 (Xenia Drive) from I-675 to get to Fairborn will be rerouted this week to accommodate improvements at a railroad crossing.

Starting Wednesday, June 1 through Friday, commuters will need to exit the interstate at Dayton Yellow Springs Road or Broad Street, according to a release from the city of Fairborn.

Northbound traffic on 235 will be rerouted through Yellow Springs-Fairfield Road and Black Lane up to Broad Street.

Southbound traffic on 235 will be rerouted through Ohio 444 and West Dayton Yellow Springs Road.

The closure may be extended to the following Monday if inclement weather interrupts the road work.
