Driver facing charges in Peters Pike crash

Medics transported an unconscious driver to Miami Valley Hospital early Tuesday morning after a crash in the 7700 block of Peters Pike.

Police said the driver went off the left side of the road, over-corrected, and then went off the right side of the road. They said the car then hit a culvert, went airborne, and landed in a ditch.

The driver, Jamaal Tibbs, 28, had to be cut out of the wreckage, fire officials said.

Police said Tibbs will be cited for OVI and failure to control. They added Tibbs' injuries were not serious.
