Facebook creates 'safety check' for Paris users, loved ones

For those worried about someone in Paris, or those safe in the city wanting to relieve their loved ones of worry, Facebook has added a feature.

ExploreClick here to access the Facebook "safety check."

Users can tag themselves as "safe," as well as friends they know in the affected area, if they have had contact with them.

This will allow for loved ones around the world to check on the safety of anyone they know in the city.

Over 100 people are believed dead following Friday's events, many of which during an attack on the Betaclan Theater.
