The 30-year-old’s police mug shot has caused thousands and thousands of women and men to throw their figurative underpants at the computer screen.
Meeks' unexpected brush with fame came after the Stockton Police Department in California posted his mugshot to its Facebook page Wednesday.
Ladies immediately began to swoon.
The picture has received more than 60,000 likes thus far and 16,000 comments.
Some of the comments call Meeks admirers idiots (“You people are idiots.” “Neck tattoos and a fake tear? Come on ladies, get some taste.” “He’s too cute to be caught up in this life. Hope he gets his life together.” “”Nice beauty-index for a man. But never forget gals: A wolf is a wolf is a wolf… Even though he seems to be domesticated. ), but most are along these line: “beautiful,” “wow the hate is real!!!! #freejeremy,” “SEXY!!!!!!!,” and “marry me Jeremy.”
Some may think he’s hot, but based on the charges he faces, Meeks would not exactly make the best flame.
Police arrested the convicted felon and three other apparent less attractive men as part of an Operation Ceasefire sweep.
The 170 pound 6 foot, 1 inch man is being held in San Joaquin County Jail in lieu of $900,000 bail, according to jail record.
He is set to appear in court today at 1:30 p.m.
The Stockton Record says Meeks was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of a large-capacity magazine with gang enhancements.
Police don’t think he’s very “hot.”
“What I want everybody to remember is that Jeremy Meeks was arrested on felony gun charges and was identified during this Operation Ceasefire enforcement mission as being part of a very active, violent group,” Officer Joe Silva, a spokesman for the Police Department, said according to the Record.
Yeah… that’s hot all right.
