Gem City Records Closes After 29 Years

Gem City Records, a long-time staple of the music scene in Dayton, will officially close over the weekend.

The owners of the store, which is located on Fifth Street in the Oregon District, said the store will close this Sunday at 6 p.m.

The store originally announced that it would close in January, but the closing date was pushed back to February.

The store opened in 1981 and has six employees.
