Gem City truck hauling gravel overturned on I-70

A man and his brother escaped serious injury when the dump truck they were traveling in blew a tire and rolled several times on Interstate 70.

Crews responded to the crash at mile marker 59 around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Gem City Trucking vehicle blew a tire and rolled four times before landing upright just off the roadway.

The truck was hauling gravel destined for the truck stop under construction at I-70 and Ohio 41.

The driver was treated by medics at the scene. His brother, the passenger, was not injured.

The Ohio Highway Patrol trooper at the scene said the driver would not be cited.
