Everybody Loves Raymond ends its final season as television's most watched and highest-rated comedy. The series starred standup comedian Ray Ramano in the title role, the series revolves around Ray Barone, a successful sportswriter in Long Island with his wife Debra, 13-year-old daughter, Ally and 9-year-old twin sons Geoffrey and Michael.

Ray's parents, Frank and Marie, live across the street and embrace the "casa es mi casa" too much, managing to infiltrate their son's home. Frank's favorite expression, "Holy Crap!" is shouted at regular intervals and cooking and cleaning advice is less than appreciated by Debra.

Ray's brother, Robert, a police sergeant, has finally moved out of his parent's home and married Debra's best friend Amy. Amy's uptight parents and anti-social brother Peter, mix into the family and make it even more entertaining -- except for Ray and Debra who wish someone would just knock.

Everybody Loves Raymond premiered on Friday, Sept. 13, 1996. The series then moved to Monday at 8:30 p.m in March of 1997 and then relocated to 9 p.m. in September 1998, where it has flourished as a top comedy program.

After 210 episodes, the series will sign off as television's most watched comedy, averaging 17.1 million viewers.
