Wright-Patt Credit Union Employees Take Off The Pounds

They keep track of your money, but some workers at a local credit union are also keeping track of everything they eat and how much they workout.

Wright-Patt Credit Union is one of 50 businesses that are a part of WHIO-TV's Move It To Lose It Battle of the Business Buldge. And, with more than 100 workers participating, they have lost more than 900 pounds.

Workers at the credit union usually walk in small groups or sometimes just two at a time.

Shelane Weeks said she was working out before the campaign began, but it was on a sporadic basis. She is now working out more and eating better. Weeks has lost 20 pounds and gone from a size 18 in pants down to a size 12.

Becky Ferrel has lost 52 pounds, but admits it was not easy.

The credit union also offers healthy snacks and prizes for workers. They are offering an evern bigger incentive, which is a gift certificate for a trip to the winner or the person who has lost the most weight.

Workers at branches throughout the Miami VAlley have also been committed to counting their calories, fat grams and they steps that they are taking. The combined group has lost about 896 pounds.
