Inmate back in jail after leaving work detail in Dayton

An inmate that walked away from his work detail in the county’s Secure Transitional Offender Program — is back in Montgomery County Jail now.

Ronnie L. West Jr., 34, was picked up by Huber Heights police Tuesday.

He reportedly walked away from a work detail around 1 p.m. June 17 at Island Metro Park where a group of inmates were setting up a Father’s Day event.
