Agreement drew state sweeteners. United Grinding agreed to consolidate its continental headquarters in Miamisburg as part of an $18 million that included incentives from the state, Montgomery County and the city.
New road expected to help development. The deal was contingent on a the city agreeing to pay for the cost of a road – about $4.5 million – leading from Byers Road to the new site. City officials said they had planned to build the road – Nikolai Boulevard – at some point in the future. The road will invite further development of the west side of Austin interchange.

More jobs, more money in Austin area. United Grinding's move of about 100 jobs from Earl Boulevard and 40 others from Virginia is good news for the city. It also increases the number of jobs, and the amount of money and traffic to the Austin interchange area.
Another company can now move. United Grinding's move will allow the Cornerstone Research Group to move from Beavercreek into UG's former site on Earl Avenue. Cornerstone announced the deal – which will include an expansion to 70 jobs - earlier this year.
