Kroger hiring 1,200 area workers

Kroger will hold a hiring fair Saturday to fill 1,200 positions at its Dayton, Springfield and Cincinnati stores, according to a media release.

The Cincinnati-based grocery chain attributed the hiring spree to company growth; the opening of a new location in Troy; expanding its online shopping service; and promoting employees into management positions.

Kroger is hiring for positions that include cashier, produce, meat/seafood, deli/bakery, bistro line cooks and Starbucks.

The hiring fair will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at all stores in Kroger’s Cincinnati-Dayton division.
