Salute to Grads: Catholic Central Class of 2016

Catholic Central High School included more than 40 seniors.

The recipients of scholarships that total $5,000 or more include:

Jacob Gutierrez, son of Mario and Heather Gutierrez, will attend St. Catharine College. He accepted a total of $60,000 in academic and athletic scholarships.

Nolan Hanna, son of Brian and Carrie Hanna, will attend the Ohio State University. He has accepted $42,300 from the OSU Maximus Scholarship, the OSU Honda Math Scholarship, the Kiwanis Scholarship and the Dr. William J. Mayer Memorial Science Grant.

Elizabeth Heck, daughter of Janet Heck, will attend Miami University. She has accepted $8,000 in academic scholarships.

Suzanne Hiltz, daughter of Paul and Kristen Hiltz, will attend the University of Dayton. She has accepted $61,400 from the President’s Merit Scholarship.

Lauren Hoendorf, daughter of David and Denice Hoendorf, will attend Wittenberg University. She has accepted $84,000 from the Provost Scholar Award and the Alumni Recognition Award.

John Kelly, son of Daniel and Michelle Kelly, will attend Miami University. He has accepted $20,000 in academic scholarships.

Katherine Patsiavos, daughter of Chris Patsiavos and Melissa Patsiavos, will attend Capital University. She has accepted $60,000 in academic scholarships.

Daniel Ritter, son of John and Deborah Ritter, will attend American University. He has accepted $82,500 from the American University Presidential Scholarship and the Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship.

Meredith Setterfield, daughter of Charlie and Patrice Setterfield, will attend the University of Dayton. She has accepted $105,000 from the Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

Catherine Sheehan, daughter of Brendan and Lisa Sheehan, will attend the University of Dayton. She has accepted $109,800 from the Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

Alexandria Sullivan, daughter of James and Kimberly Sullivan, will attend Bowling Green State University. She has accepted $28,000 from the Freshman Academic Scholarship.

Abigail Thompson, daughter of Ian and Lori Thompson, will attend Indiana University. She has accepted $20,000 in academic scholarships.

Timothy Weeks, son of Lawrence and Julie Weeks, will attend Bowling Green State University. He has accepted $14,000 in academic scholarships.
