Twenty-nine people applied to be Franklin Twp.’s new fire chief, and three local fire officials are semi-finalists for the job.
The semi-finalists are:
- Tom Snively, Middletown assistant fire chief
- Michael Hannigan, retired Lebanon fire chief
- Jason Beckett, Hamilton assistant fire inspector, and a paramedic/firefighter/inspector/investigator for the Union Twp. Fire Department in Clermont County.
Next, the three semi-finalists will take the Fire Service Supervisor Chief Officer Examination, Township Administrator Traci Stivers said.
Following the exam, the two top-scoring candidates will have a second interview with Stivers and Interim Fire Chief Keith Jennings before they are interviewed by the township trustees, who will make the final selection.
Salary for the position has not yet been determined by the trustees, according to Stivers.
