Kettering launches open checkbook online

The city of Kettering, in conjunction with the State of Ohio Treasurer’s office, recently launched a new online tool that provides user-friendly access to detailed city financial information, officials announced in a release Thursday.

Residents can visit the city's website to find the direct link to Kettering information now available on the Ohio Checkbook website, according to the release. Records are searchable by various categories, including by year, by department and by vendor.

“We believe in financial transparency,” said Kettering Mayor Don Patterson. “Making city information accessible for our residents is a priority for city council.”

In addition to the open checkbook tool, residents can get a full copy of the city’s annual budget and comprehensive annual financial report.
