Payroll Project: Vandalia’s highest-paid employees

Local governments make payroll with your money. That’s why the I-Team is using Ohio public records laws to assemble and analyze payroll data for governments across our region.

According to those records, the city of Vandalia had 18 employees earn six figures in 2015. Meanwhile the city of 15,139 residents had 195 public servants earning more than $50,000.

The five highest-paid Vandalia employees last year were:

1. City Engineer Robert G. Galvin: $138,936

2. City Manager Jon S. Crusey: $133,735
